Introducing Billow Talk

Ok, ok...I'm doing it. I've been waffling. I've been wrestling with perfectionism. The world is on fire, I'm hopping on the newsletter train and no one can stop me now.

For those who don't know me, hello! I'm Stevie Billow (they/them), a writer and bookseller currently living in Washington DC. I love storytelling, storylistening, and really anything that has to do with how we share our stories with one another.

Billow Talk is a celebration of those things, a place to engage with all aspects of my "literary self"; as a writer, as an editor, as a bookseller, and as a reader.

When you subscribe, you'll receive a monthly newsletter that includes my personal ✨writerly musings✨ and/or an interview with another emerging writer, a few book recs (with a focus on marginalized, debut, and indie/small press authors) and a roundup of some upcoming opportunities!

Occasionally, I'll send out a special edition newsletter! This will usually take the form of an exclusive Deep Dive Interview or a Reading List.

Most content on Billow Talk will be available for free. Some exclusive interviews, giveaways, suggestion/Q&A forms, and other things will be accessible to paid subscribers only. Why? Because if I want to offer fun extra stuff, I need a way to afford it in the first place! Even $5 a month is huge in helping me offset startup costs and my bookseller income (iykyk).

The first real installment of Billow Talk will go live May 2025! Until then, sweet dreams ~
